The achievements of frontline healthcare providers were celebrated at the annual Scottish Pharmacist Awards in Edinburgh on April 29th.
Unity Trust Bank are a proud partner of the prestigious event for the second year running. We joined hundreds of guests at the International Conference Centre to recognise the vital role pharmacies play in local communities.
With eight prestigious categories, including Pharmacist of the Year, Community Pharmacy Team of the Year and Outstanding Contribution, the awards highlight the best the sector has to offer.

In 2022, we lent £17m to 17 community pharmacies in Scotland. This enabled them to grow their business, create jobs and deliver valuable healthcare to people in need.
Scott Hutchinson is a Relationship Manager at Unity Trust Bank. He has more than 22 years’ banking experience looking after SMEs in the healthcare sector. Scott said: “Pharmacy services have expanded greatly over the years. Doing so helps to take the pressure of GP practices and the NHS.
“More and more people are using their community pharmacy as the first port of call for advice and treatment for an array of minor ailments.
“As a bank committed to supporting the pharmacy sector and helping to improve the lives of local communities, we were delighted to be a partner at the Scottish Pharmacist Awards. It was great to celebrate the achievements not only of the winners, but of the industry as a whole.”
